The Justice for All: Courts and the Community Learning Center is open to the public, from school children to senior citizens.
We welcome teachers and their classes to schedule visits and participate in programs at the Learning Center.

Through touchscreen tables and kiosks, learn about the federal courts, what they do, how they operate, their history, and important cases that have contributed to preserving our rights and liberties.

CREATE SPACE

Students can create videos, podcasts, and practice moot courts.

VISIT

We welcome you to come visit us at the Justice For All: Courts and the Community Learning Center.

The Learning Center is located on the 5th Floor of the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse.

Admission is free and walk-in visitors are welcome on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (excluding Federal Holidays).


For any group visits such as school and community groups, we offer customizable field trip options which must be scheduled in advance.

Option 1: Two hours – Courthouse and Learning Center tour: group visitors will explore our Learning Center and also take a guided tour of the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse.

Option 2: One hour – Learning Center only visit: group visitors will explore our Learning Center (note: this option is best suited for groups with time constraints).

Please note, one chaperone is required for every 10 students.

The Learning Center was established by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit with the guidance of the Second Circuit Judicial Council Committee on Civic Education and the programmatic support of the Leon Levy Foundation, Justice Resource Center, and the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. The Justice For All: Courts and the Community Learning Center is located within the historic Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse in lower Manhattan.
